Friday: The Musical

Yesterday, I and a couple of friends went to the Flight of the Concords show in downtown Detroit. We had amazing seats! Bret & Jermain entered the stage wearing robot outfits made out of cardboard. I couldn't hold back yelling out "I love you Bret!" at the first chance. His reaction was a "hmmmm..." :) It was such an incredible show (even though they didn't play "If you're into it")!

After, we went to a jazz club named Cliff Bells, which was pretty much next door. We listened to great music in a beautifully 20s-esque club for awhile.

We then headed over to a house party where there was a group of people playing Latin music in the backyard. A warm night, a bonfire, flamenco music & a cocktail is quite the sensory overload. Come to find out, the guy having the party was in a local band that I've loved for quite some time! How often does one get to experience so many different styles of music in one evening? Every night should be so inspiring. :)
